Market Maker Surveillance Report. IDRA, CPSH, SPRWF, NSPR, VNCE, HTGM, Winning Stocks With Lowest Price Friction For Wednesday
March 22, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 5432 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2628 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3209 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Wednesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Idera Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:IDRA), CPS Technologies Corp (NASDAQ:CPSH), SUPREME PHARMACEUTIC (OTC:SPRWF), InspireMD Inc. (NYSE:NSPR), Vince Holding Corp. (NYSE:VNCE), HTG Molecular Diagnostics (NASDAQ:HTGM). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:
Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction IDRA $0.400 0.19% 3,688,441 42.29% 3,470,188 39.79% 218,253 5,456 CPSH $0.230 0.17% 86,141 49.90% 55,330 32.05% 30,811 1,340 SPRWF $0.152 0.16% 145,148 64.57% 78,686 35.00% 66,462 4,375 NSPR $0.130 0.14% 1,021,557 43.50% 885,977 37.73% 135,580 10,429 VNCE $0.250 0.16% 604,647 39.07% 387,406 25.04% 217,241 8,690 HTGM $0.380 0.19% 43,850 39.88% 38,786 35.27% 5,064 133Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows IDRA with a dollar gain Wednesday of $0.40000 and a Friction Factor of 5,456 shares. That means that it only took 5,456 more shares of buying than selling to move IDRA higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
