Market Maker Surveillance Report. ATTU, CALA, ETST, BUDZ, WINT, PZRX, Winning Stocks With Lowest Price Friction For Thursday,
February 2, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5623 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3124 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2707 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Thursday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Attunity Ltd. (NASDAQ:ATTU), Calithera Biosciences Inc. (NASDAQ:CALA), EARTH SCIENCE TECH (OTC:ETST), WEED Inc. (PINK:BUDZ), Windtree Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:WINT), PhaseRx (NASDAQ:PZRX). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:
Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction ATTU $1.290 0.20% 112,315 36.00% 70,523 22.60% 41,792 324 CALA $1.500 0.22% 604,055 41.59% 529,618 36.47% 74,437 496 ETST $0.520 0.74% 124,159 55.46% 92,150 41.16% 32,009 616 BUDZ $1.290 0.34% 107,690 59.24% 70,049 38.53% 37,641 292 WINT $0.360 0.27% 344,525 36.91% 332,299 35.60% 12,226 340 PZRX $0.360 0.26% 727,700 70.41% 199,874 19.34% 527,826 14,662Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows ATTU with a dollar gain Thursday of $1.29000 and a Friction Factor of 324 shares. That means that it only took 324 more shares of buying than selling to move ATTU higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
