January 30, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 5654 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1726 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4258 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Monday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. NextEra Energy Partners, LP (NYSE:NEP), Antares Pharma Inc. (NASDAQ:ATRS), CANNAGROW HOLDINGS (OTC:CGRW), Dniprogaz JSC (NYSE:DGAZ), Eco-Stim Energy Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ:ESES), Peabody Energy Corp (PINK:BTUUQ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  NEP $3.470 0.13% 1,161,275 35.48% 1,130,165 34.53% 31,110 90
  ATRS $0.260 0.13% 1,104,669 43.34% 840,323 32.97% 264,346 10,167
  CGRW $0.170 0.10% 64,115 53.52% 53,423 44.60% 10,692 629
  DGAZ $0.450 0.13% 13,260,531 28.48% 11,723,472 25.18% 1,537,059 34,157
  ESES $0.660 0.49% 7,183,947 35.54% 7,084,153 35.04% 99,794 1,512
  BTUUQ $0.320 0.18% 793,056 49.44% 752,131 46.89% 40,925 1,279
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows NEP with a dollar gain Monday of $3.47000 and a Friction Factor of 90 shares. That means that it only took 90 more shares of buying than selling to move NEP higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
