January 27, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 5624 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2690 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3177 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Friday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. First Acceptance Corporation (NYSE:FAC), Caladrius Biosciences Inc. (NASDAQ:CLBS), Helios and Matheson Analytics Inc. (NASDAQ:HMNY), GOLDEN PREDATOR MNG (OTC:NTGSF), Heat Biologics (NASDAQ:HTBX), Praetorian Property Inc. (PINK:PRRE). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  FAC $0.290 0.23% 153,267 39.50% 136,113 35.08% 17,154 592
  CLBS $0.540 0.14% 69,954 52.86% 31,817 24.04% 38,137 706
  HMNY $0.550 0.16% 582,823 39.82% 574,692 39.27% 8,131 148
  NTGSF $0.132 0.14% 123,220 62.77% 68,100 34.69% 55,120 4,169
  HTBX $0.150 0.16% 3,615,374 43.56% 2,990,014 36.03% 625,360 41,691
  PRRE $0.250 0.15% 99,972 54.42% 81,611 44.43% 18,361 734
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows FAC with a dollar gain Friday of $0.29000 and a Friction Factor of 592 shares. That means that it only took 592 more shares of buying than selling to move FAC higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
