December 6, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5350 companies with "abnormal" market making, 4042 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2271 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Tuesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Rentech Inc. (NASDAQ:RTK), Nivalis Therapeutics (NASDAQ:NVLS), Francesca's Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ:FRAN), Galena Biopharma Inc. (NASDAQ:RXII), Enphase Energy Inc. (NASDAQ:ENPH), Viking Therapeutics (NASDAQ:VKTX). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  RTK $0.270 0.18% 161,446 37.48% 159,021 36.92% 2,425 90
  NVLS $0.330 0.16% 650,684 40.10% 629,674 38.81% 21,010 637
  FRAN $4.460 0.29% 2,688,676 36.81% 2,620,545 35.88% 68,131 153
  RXII $0.700 0.52% 700,098 37.22% 647,836 34.44% 52,262 747
  ENPH $0.220 0.19% 2,299,839 38.55% 2,178,970 36.52% 120,869 5,494
  VKTX $0.170 0.16% 413,398 45.58% 317,859 35.04% 95,539 5,620
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows RTK with a dollar gain Tuesday of $0.27000 and a Friction Factor of 90 shares. That means that it only took 90 more shares of buying than selling to move RTK higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
