November 23, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5392 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3781 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2481 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Tuesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. General Motors Company (NYSE:GM), iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (NYSE:EEM), Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC), Weatherford International Ltd. (NYSE:WFT), Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), EnteroMedics Inc. (NASDAQ:ETRM). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  GM $0.800 0.02% 5,986,166 48.91% 2,752,818 22.49% 3,233,348 40,417
  EEM $0.500 0.01% 22,215,236 35.02% 14,352,037 22.63% 7,863,199 157,264
  INTC $0.500 0.01% 9,081,421 41.81% 6,137,670 28.26% 2,943,751 58,875
  WFT $0.070 0.02% 11,777,235 39.95% 8,213,904 27.86% 3,563,331 509,047
  MSFT $0.260 0.00% 7,998,158 35.65% 4,966,170 22.14% 3,031,988 116,615
  ETRM $0.040 0.95% 16,919,494 39.30% 11,416,723 26.52% 5,502,771 1,375,693
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows GM with a Net Buy Volume of 3,233,348 shares and a Friction Factor of 40,417 shares. That means that it takes 40,417 more shares of buying than selling to move GM higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Tuesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
