November 23, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5392 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3781 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2481 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Tuesday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. DryShips Inc. (NASDAQ:DRYS), Opexa Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:OPXA), Globus Mrtm (NASDAQ:GLBS), Avino Silver & Gold Mines Ltd (NYSE:ASM), AXIM Biotechnologies Inc. (OTC:AXIM), Aphria Inc. (PINK:APHQF). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  DRYS $-2.890 -0.32% 6,037,922 33.86% 7,019,266 39.37% -981,344 -3,396
  OPXA $-0.420 -0.29% 1,993,793 32.62% 2,433,978 39.82% -440,185 -10,481
  GLBS $-1.350 -0.27% 123,971 33.17% 161,651 43.25% -37,680 -279
  ASM $-0.410 -0.23% 1,276,351 35.14% 1,332,044 36.68% -55,693 -1,358
  AXIM $-2.350 -0.24% 90,749 35.20% 153,878 59.69% -63,129 -269
  APHQF $-0.823 -0.20% 213,561 39.57% 309,298 57.31% -95,737 -1,163
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows DRYS with a dollar loss Tuesday of $-2.89000 and a Friction Factor of -3,396 shares. That means that it only took 3,396 more shares of selling than buying to move DRYS lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
