September 27, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5712 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3199 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2685 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bearish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices dropped. Marriott International (NASDAQ:MAR), Gilead Sciences Inc. (NASDAQ:GILD), salesforce.com inc. (NYSE:CRM), Weatherford International Ltd. (NYSE:WFT), Medical Properties Trust Inc. (NYSE:MPW), MARKET VECTORS RUS ETF (NYSE:RSX). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  MAR $-0.100 -0.00% 2,125,012 43.64% 812,625 16.69% 1,312,387 Abnormal
  GILD $-1.420 -0.02% 4,991,651 37.83% 3,256,949 24.68% 1,734,702 Abnormal
  CRM $-0.080 -0.00% 3,110,322 38.16% 1,877,348 23.04% 1,232,974 Abnormal
  WFT $-0.300 -0.05% 7,494,826 34.32% 5,047,369 23.11% 2,447,457 Abnormal
  MPW $-0.200 -0.01% 20,076,392 43.98% 14,337,693 31.41% 5,738,699 Abnormal
  RSX $-0.130 -0.01% 3,596,730 54.37% 1,298,692 19.63% 2,298,038 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more buying than selling on Tuesday and their stock prices dropped. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows MAR with 1,312,387 greater shares of buying than selling (NetVol) and the stock price was down $-0.10000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more buying than selling should cause prices to rise.
