September 27, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5712 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3199 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2685 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC), General Electric Company (NYSE:GE), Rite Aid Corp (NYSE:RAD), Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), Cisco Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO), Medivation Inc. (NASDAQ:MDVN). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  BAC $0.200 0.01% 23,603,410 29.02% 35,461,778 43.60% -11,858,368 Abnormal
  GE $0.340 0.01% 6,376,869 25.66% 9,501,899 38.24% -3,125,030 Abnormal
  RAD $0.030 0.00% 2,984,887 30.78% 5,157,586 53.19% -2,172,699 Abnormal
  AAPL $0.220 0.00% 6,485,703 26.55% 8,923,872 36.53% -2,438,169 Abnormal
  CSCO $0.400 0.01% 4,810,875 27.01% 6,702,288 37.62% -1,891,413 Abnormal
  MDVN $0.020 0.00% 980,331 13.64% 4,786,319 66.59% -3,805,988 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Tuesday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BAC with 11,858,368 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.20000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
