Mahdia Gold Corp (CNSX:MGD) Clarifies Filing of Geological Report on Mahdia Gold Property in Guyana
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 14, 2012) - Mahdia Gold Corp. (the "Company") (CNSX:MGD) would like to clarify statements in its Sept. 11, 2012 press release regarding the recently filed Omai Geological Report.
The Company wishes to clarify that the geological report prepared by AMEC was prepared on the acquisition by the Company of the Omai Project and was not deficient as a geological report. The geological report was not prepared as a "technical report" but filed as same without the knowledge or permission of AMEC or the qualified persons that authored the geological report. The Company regrets any impression that AMEC had prepared a deficient technical report for filing on SEDAR.
AMEC has agreed to work with the Company to convert the geological report into a NI 43-101 technical report for filing on SEDAR as soon as possible. In order to complete the conversion to a Technical Report the introduction will be reworded to include expenditure requirements and the report title changed.
The Company's qualified person, David Bending, the President of the Company, has reviewed the technical content of this news release.
