May 14, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 3584 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1333 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4711 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. TII NETWORK TECHNOLOGIES INC (NASDAQ:TIII), CISCO SYSTEMS INCORPORATED (NASDAQ:CSCO), SPRINT NEXTEL CORP (NYSE:S), Oracle Corp (NASDAQ:ORCL), ALL FUELS & ENERGY CO (OTC:AFSE), GREAT WALL BUILDERS LTD (OTCBB:GWBU). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  TIII $0.620 42.76% 1,831,348 30.24% 4,224,439 69.76% -2,393,091 Abnormal
  CSCO $0.180 1.10% 27,129,193 47.30% 30,141,114 52.56% -3,011,921 Abnormal
  S $0.010 0.40% 9,602,162 31.28% 12,365,222 40.28% -2,763,060 Abnormal
  ORCL $0.030 0.11% 10,575,723 47.22% 11,487,980 51.30% -912,257 Abnormal
  AFSE $0.015 1.91% 122,343 9.99% 1,099,830 89.80% -977,487 Abnormal
  GWBU $0.210 23.86% 9,014,084 40.84% 12,904,680 58.47% -3,890,596 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Monday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows TIII with 2,393,091 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.62000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
