April 18, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 3623 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2054 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3770 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Wednesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. WPCS INTERNATIONAL INC (NASDAQ:WPCS), IVANHOE MINES LTD (NYSE:IVN), FEIHE INTERNATIONAL INC (NYSE:ADY), ENTREE GOLD INC (AMEX:EGI), CATALYST HEALTH SOLUTIONS IN (NASDAQ:CHSI), Tianli Agritech Incorporated (NASDAQ:OINK). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  WPCS $0.360 35.64% 138,384 53.99% 116,147 45.31% 22,237 618
  IVN $1.880 15.99% 6,118,973 29.03% 6,053,660 28.72% 65,313 347
  ADY $0.680 16.35% 388,879 40.85% 341,698 35.89% 47,181 694
  EGI $0.190 20.21% 62,935 48.59% 31,700 24.47% 31,235 1,644
  CHSI $21.510 33.85% 6,237,031 49.96% 5,619,423 45.01% 617,608 287
  OINK $0.320 17.98% 53,347 60.13% 35,372 39.87% 17,975 562
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows WPCS with a dollar gain Wednesday of $0.36000 and a Friction Factor of 618 shares. That means that it only took 618 more shares of buying than selling to move WPCS higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
