March 28, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 3828 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1969 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3893 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. MICRON TECHNOLOGY INC (NASDAQ:MU), MEDCO HEALTH SOLUTIONS INC (NYSE:MHS), WELLS FARGO & CO (NYSE:WFC), EXPRESS SCRIPTS INC (NASDAQ:ESRX), Total SA (NYSE:TOT), Zalicus Inc (NASDAQ:ZLCS). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  MU $0.070 0.76% 18,841,542 53.71% 15,692,213 44.73% 3,149,329 449,904
  MHS $2.210 3.20% 10,526,852 37.66% 8,579,641 30.69% 1,947,211 8,811
  WFC $0.480 1.41% 9,671,171 33.06% 7,707,426 26.35% 1,963,745 40,911
  ESRX $0.680 1.28% 16,335,667 49.97% 14,495,058 44.34% 1,840,609 27,068
  TOT $0.260 0.51% 5,350,127 47.91% 2,682,815 24.02% 2,667,312 102,589
  ZLCS $0.200 18.52% 5,448,722 62.10% 3,325,717 37.90% 2,123,005 106,150
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows MU with a Net Buy Volume of 3,149,329 shares and a Friction Factor of 449,904 shares. That means that it takes 449,904 more shares of buying than selling to move MU higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
