December 14, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 3558 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1718 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4704 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. COMCAST CORP-CLASS A (NASDAQ:CMCSA), PFIZER INC (NYSE:PFE), GENERAL ELECTRIC CO (NYSE:GE), WELLS FARGO & CO (NYSE:WFC), JPMORGAN CHASE & CO (NYSE:JPM), El Paso Corp (NYSE:EP). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     CMCSA $0.060 0.26% 6,882,623 45.48% 8,229,680 54.38% -1,347,057 Abnormal
     PFE $0.110 0.53% 15,411,235 27.32% 16,899,377 29.96% -1,488,142 Abnormal
     GE $0.240 1.46% 23,825,601 28.54% 26,256,532 31.45% -2,430,931 Abnormal
     WFC $0.160 0.62% 6,991,446 21.33% 10,580,259 32.28% -3,588,813 Abnormal
     JPM $0.190 0.61% 8,975,957 22.19% 11,835,307 29.26% -2,859,350 Abnormal
     EP $0.010 0.04% 1,970,517 24.25% 2,940,694 36.19% -970,177 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Wednesday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CMCSA with 1,347,057 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.06000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
