December 14, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 3558 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1718 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4704 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. AMR Corp (NYSE:AMR), VERIZON COMMUNICATIONS INC (NYSE:VZ), POWRTEC INTERNATIONAL CORP (OTC:POWT), SEAMICO SECURITIES P (OTC:SEAOF), EXCO RESOURCES INC (NYSE:XCO), SAIC INC (NYSE:SAI). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     AMR $0.070 11.31% 15,023,445 37.31% 12,407,140 30.81% 2,616,305 373,758
     VZ $0.030 0.07% 4,068,066 34.54% 3,035,102 25.77% 1,032,964 344,321
     POWT $0.013 18.06% 11,768,945 55.39% 9,472,001 44.58% 2,296,944 1,766,880
     SEAOF $0.020 3.57% 1,314,700 96.01% 54,659 3.99% 1,260,041 630,021
     XCO $0.030 0.30% 2,813,266 41.69% 2,159,531 32.00% 653,735 217,912
     SAI $0.050 0.41% 1,751,489 45.35% 993,754 25.73% 757,735 151,547
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows AMR with a Net Buy Volume of 2,616,305 shares and a Friction Factor of 373,758 shares. That means that it takes 373,758 more shares of buying than selling to move AMR higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
