December 14, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 3558 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1718 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4704 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Wednesday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Silicon Graphics International Corp (NYSE:SGI), HYPERDYNAMICS CORP (NYSE:HDY), ARABIAN AMERICAN DEVELOPMENT (NASDAQ:ARSD), FIRST SOLAR INC (NASDAQ:FSLR), US CONCRETE INC (OTCBB:USCR), (NYSE:SQNS). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     SGI $-2.530 -18.03% 1,957,047 48.89% 1,979,306 49.44% -22,259 -88
     HDY $-0.520 -19.40% 3,355,805 29.33% 4,169,040 36.44% -813,235 -15,639
     ARSD $-1.570 -15.73% 75,079 35.41% 131,437 61.99% -56,358 -359
     FSLR $-9.020 -21.19% 8,313,109 48.20% 8,719,646 50.55% -406,537 -451
     USCR $-0.640 -21.99% 709,570 49.82% 714,744 50.18% -5,174 -81
     SQNS $-0.960 -27.04% 365,420 28.96% 401,568 31.82% -36,148 -377
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows SGI with a dollar loss Wednesday of $-2.53000 and a Friction Factor of -88 shares. That means that it only took 88 more shares of selling than buying to move SGI lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
