Ford's world-class Michigan Assembly Plant is starting production of the 2012 Focus Electric, expected to be the first five-passenger, all-electric car to achieve 100-plus MPGe. Focus Electric can recharge in half the time of the Nissan Leaf. Two Ford engines earn spots on Ward's 10 Best Engine list
Ford's 2.0-liter EcoBoost® and 5.0-liter V8 have each been named a Ward's 10 Best Engine. WardsAuto editors report getting a 24 mpg return from the turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost in the Ford Edge – "which deserves plaudits in this segment." For the second time Ford's 5.0-liter V8 makes the list.
