September 23, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 4527 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3003 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3034 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Friday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION (NYSE:BAC), NATIONAL SEMICONDUCTOR CORP (NYSE:NSM), AT&T INC (NYSE:T), JPMORGAN CHASE & CO (NYSE:JPM), VERIZON COMMUNICATIONS INC (NYSE:VZ), YAHOO! INC (NASDAQ:YHOO). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     BAC $0.250 4.13% 164,245,376 32.65% 74,974,936 14.90% 89,270,440 3,570,818
     NSM $0.020 0.08% 11,458,055 62.92% 4,084,881 22.43% 7,373,174 3,686,587
     T $0.100 0.36% 79,060,942 76.16% 7,911,890 7.62% 71,149,052 7,114,905
     JPM $0.310 1.06% 18,272,226 35.33% 13,245,186 25.61% 5,027,040 162,163
     VZ $0.200 0.56% 17,738,506 54.00% 4,278,147 13.02% 13,460,359 673,018
     YHOO $0.810 5.79% 39,390,565 79.86% 18,715,203 37.94% 20,675,362 255,251
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BAC with a Net Buy Volume of 89,270,440 shares and a Friction Factor of 3,570,818 shares. That means that it takes 3,570,818 more shares of buying than selling to move BAC higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Friday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
