Its leak detection and location systems are used to monitor areas, where fluid intrusion might contaminate the environment, endanger personal safety, cause a fire hazard, impair essential services, or damage equipment or property. MFRIs Filtration Products segment manufactures and sells filter elements for industrial air filtration and particulate collection systems; markets air filtration related products and accessories; and provides maintenance services consisting of dust collector inspection, filter cleaning, and filter replacement. This segments products and services are used primarily by the operators of utility and industrial coal-fired boilers, incinerators, and cogeneration plants. Its Industrial Process Cooling Equipment segment engages in the engineering, design, manufacture, and sale of industrial process cooling equipment, including chillers, cooling towers, plant circulating systems, and related accessories for use in industrial process applications. This segment markets its products primarily to thermoplastics processing and printing industries, original equipment manufacturers, and cooling manufacturers. The company also engages in HVAC systems installation. MFRI was founded in 1989 and is based in Niles, Illinois.
