June 8, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 2400 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1300 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3994 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. ISHARES BARCLAYS 20+ YEAR TR (NYSE:TLT), CIA BRASILEIRA DE DIS-SP PRF (NYSE:CBD), CONSUMER STAPLES SPDR (NYSE:XLP), GENERAL ELECTRIC CO (NYSE:GE), REGIONS FINANCIAL CORP (NYSE:RF), VANGUARD INTERMEDIATE-TERM B (AMEX:BIV). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     TLT $0.790 0.82% 2,442,769 27.72% 1,419,599 16.11% 1,023,170 12,952
     CBD $0.240 0.57% 1,151,325 60.53% 274,062 14.41% 877,263 36,553
     XLP $0.020 0.06% 2,942,197 34.99% 1,374,004 16.34% 1,568,193 784,097
     GE $0.020 0.11% 13,291,762 25.59% 12,295,140 23.67% 996,622 498,311
     RF $0.030 0.49% 5,919,592 29.02% 5,116,794 25.08% 802,798 267,599
     BIV $0.070 0.08% 1,203,963 94.34% 44,495 3.49% 1,159,468 165,638
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows TLT with a Net Buy Volume of 1,023,170 shares and a Friction Factor of 12,952 shares. That means that it takes 12,952 more shares of buying than selling to move TLT higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
