Rite Aid Promotes Tony Montini to Executive Vice-President of Merchandising
CAMP HILL, Pa.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE: RAD) announced today that Tony Montini has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Merchandising. Montini most recently served as Senior Vice President of Category Management.

In his new position, Montini will oversee field merchandising and the companya™s new store format development in addition to his current responsibilities for category management. The companya™s new store formats include wellness stores, value + stores and co-branded Save-A-Lot Rite Aid stores. He continues to report to Ken Martindale, Rite Aid Chief Operating Officer.
Rite Aid also announced that Bryan Shirtliff, currently the companya™s Senior Vice President of Business Development, has been named to the new position of Senior Vice President of Merchandising. Shirtliff will continue to be responsible for the companya™s store segmentation initiatives and now will also be responsible for front end merchandising. He will report to Montini.

Montini joined Rite Aid in February 2010 as Senior Vice President of Category Management. He previously served as Executive Vice President and COO of the national advertising agency Marc USA, which has been Rite Aida™s agency of record since 1979, which he joined in 2004 as Senior Vice President & Director, Retail Marketing. His prior Rite Aid experience includes serving as Senior Vice President of Category Management from 2002 through 2003 and as Rite Aida™s Vice President, Purchasing from 1987 through 1989. His retail experience also includes serving as Senior Vice President and General Merchandise Manager for the drugstore business at K-Mart, Inc. as well as holding executive merchandising positions with the former Revco and Reliable drugstore chains. He also served as Senior Vice President of Sales for the vitamin manufacturer Leiner Health Products.
Montini holds a Bachelora™s Degree from Duquesne University and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
