April 14, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 2561 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2709 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2434 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Thursday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. LEVEL 3 COMMUNICATIONS INC (NASDAQ:LVLT), ISHARES MSCI GERMANY INDEX (NYSE:EWG), SPRINT NEXTEL CORP (NYSE:S), 3DICON CORP (OTCBB:TDCP), ISHARES SILVER TRUST (NYSE:SLV), TREATY ENERGY CORP (OTC:TECO). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     LVLT $0.050 2.67% 20,914,166 59.82% 13,852,954 39.63% 7,061,212 1,412,242
     EWG $0.100 0.37% 11,264,340 65.28% 5,990,713 34.72% 5,273,627 527,363
     S $0.150 3.12% 35,946,790 50.62% 28,811,257 40.57% 7,135,533 475,702
     TDCP $0.013 26.00% 10,663,582 72.80% 3,984,922 27.20% 6,678,660 5,137,431
     SLV $1.520 3.84% 24,992,951 54.31% 21,297,364 46.28% 3,695,587 24,313
     TECO $0.013 61.90% 8,497,438 66.04% 4,369,647 33.96% 4,127,791 3,175,224
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows LVLT with a Net Buy Volume of 7,061,212 shares and a Friction Factor of 1,412,242 shares. That means that it takes 1,412,242 more shares of buying than selling to move LVLT higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Thursday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
