Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Thursday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. ON TRACK INNOVATI (NASDAQ:OTIV), BANRO CORPORATION (AMEX:BAA), CDC CORP-CL A (NASDAQ:CHINA), YRC WORLDWIDE INC (NASDAQ:YRCW), REPROS THERAPEUTICS INC (NASDAQ:RPRX), LIVING CELL TECHNOLOGIES-ADR (OTC:LVCLY). Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction OTIV $0.390 16.96% 1,464,548 51.05% 1,355,750 47.26% 108,798 2,790 BAA $0.450 18.37% 417,815 60.06% 188,483 27.10% 229,332 5,096 CHINA $0.600 25.10% 4,038,319 50.42% 3,953,318 49.36% 85,001 1,417 YRCW $0.290 17.06% 2,151,006 57.46% 1,592,596 42.54% 558,410 19,256 RPRX $0.860 18.49% 167,039 55.87% 129,863 43.43% 37,176 432 LVCLY $0.220 18.64% 180,270 66.15% 68,941 25.30% 111,329 5,060Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows OTIV with a dollar gain Thursday of $0.39000 and a Friction Factor of 2,790 shares. That means that it only took 2,790 more shares of buying than selling to move OTIV higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
