December 13, 2010 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 2595 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2391 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3075 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Monday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. CLENERGEN CORP (OTC:CRGE), NEW ENERGY TECHNOLOGIES INC (OTCBB:NENE), DORMAN PRODUCTS INC (NASDAQ:DORM), LANNETT CO INC (AMEX:LCI), POWERWAVE TECHNOLOGIES INC (NASDAQ:PWAV), MILLER PETROLEUM INC (NASDAQ:MILL). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     CRGE $-0.390 -24.22% 38,470 22.00% 53,925 30.84% -15,455 -396
     NENE $-0.380 -14.62% 3,825,866 47.73% 3,995,708 49.85% -169,842 -4,470
     DORM $-4.910 -11.04% 169,586 42.26% 229,820 57.26% -60,234 -123
     LCI $-1.200 -17.91% 233,134 42.51% 269,196 49.09% -36,062 -301
     PWAV $-0.310 -11.48% 2,188,475 37.62% 3,324,709 57.15% -1,136,234 -36,653
     MILL $-0.650 -12.67% 652,564 42.56% 876,000 57.13% -223,436 -3,437

Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows MILL with a dollar loss Monday of $-0.65000 and a Friction Factor of -3,437 shares. That means that it only took 3,437 more shares of selling than buying to move MILL lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
