May 3, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 5446 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2072 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3737 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bearish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices dropped. Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA), Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold Inc. (NYSE:FCX), Johnson Lambert & Co. (NYSE:S), Oclaro, Inc. (NASDAQ:OCLR), Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), Groupon Inc. (NASDAQ:GRPN). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  CMCSA $-0.720 -0.02% 9,915,041 38.11% 6,897,199 26.51% 3,017,842 Abnormal
  FCX $-0.710 -0.06% 13,434,850 35.71% 11,549,311 30.69% 1,885,539 Abnormal
  S $-1.270 -0.14% 22,460,020 41.09% 18,584,075 34.00% 3,875,945 Abnormal
  OCLR $-0.020 -0.00% 8,781,187 36.61% 6,924,442 28.87% 1,856,745 Abnormal
  MSFT $-0.350 -0.01% 10,498,395 36.53% 7,080,386 24.64% 3,418,009 Abnormal
  GRPN $-0.540 -0.14% 15,468,523 42.75% 12,754,826 35.25% 2,713,697 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more buying than selling on Wednesday and their stock prices dropped. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CMCSA with 3,017,842 greater shares of buying than selling (NetVol) and the stock price was down $-0.72000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more buying than selling should cause prices to rise.
