April 3, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 5526 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2112 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3808 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. Health Care Select Sector SPDR (NYSE:XLV), iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (NYSE:EEM), General Electric Company (NYSE:GE), Visa Inc. (NYSE:V), Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO), Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  XLV $0.050 0.00% 2,042,779 12.70% 6,794,399 42.23% -4,751,620 Abnormal
  EEM $0.230 0.01% 18,573,981 28.34% 22,576,570 34.44% -4,002,589 Abnormal
  GE $0.090 0.00% 7,833,068 23.75% 12,980,189 39.36% -5,147,121 Abnormal
  V $0.490 0.01% 1,523,044 13.93% 4,375,426 40.01% -2,852,382 Abnormal
  YHOO $0.020 0.00% 1,584,562 20.77% 4,246,896 55.68% -2,662,334 Abnormal
  ORCL $0.010 0.00% 3,634,357 20.44% 6,418,409 36.10% -2,784,052 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Monday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows XLV with 4,751,620 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.05000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
