February 14, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5506 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3236 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2765 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Tuesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Financial Select Sector SPDR (NYSE:XLF), Myriad Genetics Inc. (NASDAQ:MYGN), Cisco Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO), NRG Energy Inc. (NYSE:NRG), Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F), MARKET VECTORS ETF TRJR GOLD MINES (NYSE:GDXJ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  XLF $0.310 0.01% 24,321,332 32.79% 20,087,091 27.08% 4,234,241 136,588
  MYGN $0.050 0.00% 9,361,479 72.68% 1,738,183 13.49% 7,623,296 1,524,659
  CSCO $0.330 0.01% 13,615,557 44.17% 7,807,970 25.33% 5,807,587 175,987
  NRG $0.040 0.00% 4,446,257 52.88% 1,209,743 14.39% 3,236,514 809,129
  F $0.090 0.01% 12,893,981 43.29% 9,743,692 32.71% 3,150,289 350,032
  GDXJ $0.450 0.01% 7,536,731 36.60% 3,656,871 17.76% 3,879,860 86,219
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows XLF with a Net Buy Volume of 4,234,241 shares and a Friction Factor of 136,588 shares. That means that it takes 136,588 more shares of buying than selling to move XLF higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Tuesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
