February 14, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5506 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3236 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2765 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (NYSE:EPD), Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI), Twitter Inc. (NYSE:TWTR), Helix Energy Solutions Group Inc. (NYSE:HLX), Dniprogaz JSC (NYSE:DGAZ), GigPeak Inc. (NYSE:GIG). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  EPD $0.140 0.01% 1,168,124 13.12% 5,109,384 57.37% -3,941,260 Abnormal
  SIRI $0.050 0.01% 6,131,577 29.65% 10,060,083 48.64% -3,928,506 Abnormal
  TWTR $0.670 0.04% 12,050,078 34.33% 13,860,236 39.49% -1,810,158 Abnormal
  HLX $0.710 0.10% 1,719,431 23.12% 3,352,079 45.07% -1,632,648 Abnormal
  DGAZ $0.020 0.00% 8,016,498 27.18% 10,344,670 35.07% -2,328,172 Abnormal
  GIG $0.340 0.13% 11,223,669 31.24% 21,724,815 60.47% -10,501,146 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Tuesday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows EPD with 3,941,260 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.14000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
