December 21, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 5367 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2482 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3793 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Wednesday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. iShares FTSE/Xinhua China 25 Index Fund (NYSE:FXI), SPDR S&P 500 (NYSE:SPY), Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F), Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (NYSE:GDX), MARKET VECTORS ETF TRJR GOLD MINES (NYSE:GDXJ), Dniprogaz JSC (NYSE:DGAZ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  FXI $-0.110 -0.00% 3,590,870 16.92% 6,354,844 29.95% -2,763,974 -251,270
  SPY $-0.680 -0.00% 11,005,556 18.66% 14,205,847 24.08% -3,200,291 -47,063
  F $-0.140 -0.01% 5,926,771 30.09% 8,899,288 45.19% -2,972,517 -212,323
  GDX $-0.040 -0.00% 7,329,086 8.69% 38,048,489 45.10% -30,719,403 -7,679,851
  GDXJ $-0.290 -0.01% 1,588,073 10.46% 6,802,522 44.81% -5,214,449 -179,809
  DGAZ $-1.110 -0.24% 26,585,281 33.15% 29,681,915 37.01% -3,096,634 -27,898
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows FXI down $-0.11000 with a Friction Factor of -251,270 and a Net Volume of -2,763,974. That means that it takes 251,270 more shares of selling than buying to drop FXI by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
