October 14, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 5719 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2672 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3015 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Friday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NYSE:CHK), People's United Financial Inc. (NASDAQ:PBCT), General Electric Company (NYSE:GE), Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI), Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (NASDAQ:AMD), Medical Properties Trust Inc. (NYSE:MPW). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  CHK $0.130 0.02% 20,503,791 42.62% 13,162,303 27.36% 7,341,488 564,730
  PBCT $0.210 0.01% 3,314,193 73.25% 565,096 12.49% 2,749,097 130,909
  GE $0.140 0.01% 12,131,973 43.47% 7,045,569 25.24% 5,086,404 363,315
  SIRI $0.010 0.00% 19,740,049 43.55% 17,698,228 39.05% 2,041,821 2,041,821
  AMD $0.260 0.04% 24,395,148 36.50% 21,990,276 32.90% 2,404,872 92,495
  MPW $0.010 0.00% 3,750,910 65.49% 792,804 13.84% 2,958,106 2,958,106
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CHK with a Net Buy Volume of 7,341,488 shares and a Friction Factor of 564,730 shares. That means that it takes 564,730 more shares of buying than selling to move CHK higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Friday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
