October 14, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 5719 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2672 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3015 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Friday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Taylor Devices Inc. (NASDAQ:TAYD), Altisource Asset Management Corporation (NYSE:AAMC), Moleculin Biotech Inc. (NASDAQ:MBRX), Ocean Power Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:OPTT), InspireMD Inc. (NYSE:NSPR), Flex Pharma Inc. (NASDAQ:FLKS). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  TAYD $-6.560 -0.33% 89,039 33.54% 92,644 34.90% -3,605 -5
  AAMC $-6.470 -0.16% 44,907 28.34% 48,223 30.43% -3,316 -5
  MBRX $-0.850 -0.21% 39,433 32.08% 47,695 38.81% -8,262 -97
  OPTT $-1.220 -0.30% 2,508,160 38.74% 2,596,523 40.11% -88,363 -724
  NSPR $-0.670 -0.21% 77,575 18.34% 132,349 31.28% -54,774 -818
  FLKS $-1.340 -0.16% 84,696 29.08% 96,758 33.22% -12,062 -90
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows TAYD with a dollar loss Friday of $-6.56000 and a Friction Factor of -5 shares. That means that it only took 5 more shares of selling than buying to move TAYD lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
