October 13, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5451 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1991 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4099 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. Novavax Inc. (NASDAQ:NVAX), Utilities Select Sector SPDR (NYSE:XLU), Southwestern Energy Co. (NYSE:SWN), Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI), Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. (NYSE:POT), Gramercy Property Trust Inc. (NYSE:GPT). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  NVAX $0.010 0.01% 2,946,852 28.55% 5,290,607 51.25% -2,343,755 Abnormal
  XLU $0.590 0.01% 6,801,812 21.55% 9,982,148 31.63% -3,180,336 Abnormal
  SWN $0.280 0.02% 4,795,234 26.74% 7,282,124 40.61% -2,486,890 Abnormal
  SIRI $0.010 0.00% 16,663,364 38.81% 19,948,476 46.46% -3,285,112 Abnormal
  POT $0.090 0.01% 1,947,655 20.61% 4,315,861 45.67% -2,368,206 Abnormal
  GPT $0.420 0.05% 1,167,866 23.43% 3,046,002 61.11% -1,878,136 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Thursday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows NVAX with 2,343,755 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.01000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
