October 13, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5451 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1991 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4099 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Thursday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Health Care Select Sector SPDR (NYSE:XLV), iShares Barclays 1-3 Year Treasury Bond Fund (NYSE:SHY), Petrobras - Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. (NYSE:PBR), Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (NYSE:GDX), MARKET VECTORS ETF TRJR GOLD MINES (NYSE:GDXJ), Ambev S.A. (NYSE:ABEV). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  XLV $0.030 0.00% 5,493,002 28.62% 2,112,430 11.01% 3,380,572 1,126,857
  SHY $0.030 0.00% 3,952,064 76.78% 223,234 4.34% 3,728,830 1,242,943
  PBR $0.330 0.03% 10,632,080 40.31% 8,508,394 32.26% 2,123,686 64,354
  GDX $0.410 0.02% 36,247,910 40.71% 16,603,528 18.65% 19,644,382 479,131
  GDXJ $0.800 0.02% 7,525,988 34.79% 3,650,737 16.88% 3,875,251 48,441
  ABEV $0.030 0.01% 6,027,986 38.17% 4,227,271 26.77% 1,800,715 600,238
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows XLV with a Net Buy Volume of 3,380,572 shares and a Friction Factor of 1,126,857 shares. That means that it takes 1,126,857 more shares of buying than selling to move XLV higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Thursday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
