Market Maker Surveillance Report. EWZ, EEM, SPY, CHD, WFT, ZNGA, Bullishly Biased Price Friction For Wednesday, October 5th 20
October 5, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 5581 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3800 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2220 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. iShares MSCI Brazil Index Fund (NYSE:EWZ), iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (NYSE:EEM), SPDR S&P 500 (NYSE:SPY), Church & Dwight Co Inc (NYSE:CHD), Weatherford International Ltd. (NYSE:WFT), Zynga Inc. (NASDAQ:ZNGA). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .
Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:
Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction EWZ $0.890 0.03% 5,456,979 20.06% 10,273,350 37.76% -4,816,371 Abnormal EEM $0.520 0.01% 15,815,802 25.36% 20,481,465 32.84% -4,665,663 Abnormal SPY $1.020 0.01% 18,654,520 26.35% 23,929,320 33.80% -5,274,800 Abnormal CHD $0.010 0.00% 581,096 11.91% 3,239,160 66.38% -2,658,064 Abnormal WFT $0.370 0.07% 11,228,508 24.52% 16,421,255 35.86% -5,192,747 Abnormal ZNGA $0.090 0.03% 6,803,509 34.23% 9,939,383 50.00% -3,135,874 AbnormalAnalysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Wednesday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows EWZ with 4,816,371 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.89000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
