October 5, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 5581 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3800 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2220 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Wednesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Tidewater Inc. (NYSE:TDW), Aemetis Inc. (NASDAQ:AMTX), Aurora Cannabis Inc. (OTC:ACBFF), CorMedix Inc. (NYSE:CRMD), Federal National Mortgage Association FNMA Fannie Mae (PINK:FNMAT), Valmie Resources Inc. (PINK:VMRI). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  TDW $0.480 0.17% 825,248 38.32% 788,074 36.59% 37,174 774
  AMTX $0.380 0.29% 148,382 43.79% 113,986 33.64% 34,396 905
  ACBFF $0.224 0.19% 327,845 58.60% 227,986 40.75% 99,859 4,462
  CRMD $0.440 0.16% 484,030 45.66% 371,376 35.03% 112,654 2,560
  FNMAT $0.610 0.17% 128,198 51.50% 120,643 48.47% 7,555 124
  VMRI $0.210 0.16% 528,776 51.93% 487,392 47.87% 41,384 1,971
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows TDW with a dollar gain Wednesday of $0.48000 and a Friction Factor of 774 shares. That means that it only took 774 more shares of buying than selling to move TDW higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
