September 20, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5710 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2652 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3111 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bearish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices dropped. eBay Inc. (NASDAQ:EBAY), Symantec Corporation (NASDAQ:SYMC), salesforce.com inc. (NYSE:CRM), Twenty - First Century Fox Inc. (NASDAQ:FOX), Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC), Weatherford International Ltd. (NYSE:WFT). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  EBAY $-0.210 -0.01% 2,890,604 44.88% 1,441,331 22.38% 1,449,273 Abnormal
  SYMC $-0.130 -0.01% 6,658,645 51.73% 2,603,908 20.23% 4,054,737 Abnormal
  CRM $-0.230 -0.00% 2,289,606 47.40% 945,364 19.57% 1,344,242 Abnormal
  FOX $-0.050 -0.00% 3,014,590 56.95% 895,807 16.92% 2,118,783 Abnormal
  INTC $-0.010 0.00% 9,382,309 39.44% 6,457,884 27.15% 2,924,425 Abnormal
  WFT $-0.150 -0.03% 9,598,793 46.79% 5,002,994 24.39% 4,595,799 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more buying than selling on Tuesday and their stock prices dropped. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows EBAY with 1,449,273 greater shares of buying than selling (NetVol) and the stock price was down $-0.21000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more buying than selling should cause prices to rise.
