May 2, 2013 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 3796 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3526 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1770 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Thursday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. CISCO SYSTEMS INCORPORATED (NASDAQ:CSCO), Sprint Nextel Corp (NYSE:S), INTEL CORPORATION (NASDAQ:INTC), Nuvilex Inc (OTC:NVLX), Powershares Qqq Trust Series 1 (NASDAQ:QQQ), Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:
Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction CSCO $0.270 1.31% 34,288,011 62.63% 20,409,860 37.28% 13,878,151 514,006 S $0.040 0.57% 21,148,798 42.07% 18,649,992 37.10% 2,498,806 624,702 INTC $0.020 0.08% 17,573,069 53.50% 15,212,856 46.31% 2,360,213 1,180,107 NVLX $0.014 14.27% 4,240,149 72.10% 1,640,760 27.90% 2,599,389 1,897,364 QQQ $0.870 1.24% 16,115,405 52.35% 13,752,279 44.67% 2,363,126 27,162 FB $1.490 5.43% 54,166,024 52.07% 49,395,769 47.49% 4,770,255 32,015Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows CSCO with a Net Buy Volume of 13,878,151 shares and a Friction Factor of 514,006 shares. That means that it takes 514,006 more shares of buying than selling to move CSCO higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Thursday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
