April 8, 2013 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. On Monday there were 3923 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3137 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2244 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Monday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION (NYSE:BAC), General Electric Co (NYSE:GE), Sirius XM Radio Inc (NASDAQ:SIRI), INTEL CORPORATION (NASDAQ:INTC), Corning Inc (NYSE:GLW), Advanced Micro Devices Inc (NYSE:AMD). Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction BAC $0.240 2.01% 35,186,732 35.28% 31,279,158 31.37% 3,907,574 162,816 GE $0.190 0.83% 11,175,169 37.09% 9,109,011 30.24% 2,066,158 108,745 SIRI $0.030 1.00% 14,866,514 58.47% 10,556,949 41.52% 4,309,565 1,436,522 INTC $0.150 0.72% 19,340,595 56.77% 14,126,118 41.47% 5,214,477 347,632 GLW $0.020 0.15% 4,914,518 41.68% 3,045,210 25.83% 1,869,308 934,654 AMD $0.310 13.54% 16,916,522 38.10% 13,960,775 31.45% 2,955,747 95,347Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows BAC with a Net Buy Volume of 3,907,574 shares and a Friction Factor of 162,816 shares. That means that it takes 162,816 more shares of buying than selling to move BAC higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Monday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
