It also operates five steel mills producing reinforcing bars, angles, flats, rounds, small beams, fence-post sections, and other shapes; two scrap metal shredder and processing facilities; a railroad salvage company; and a copper tube minimill. In addition, the company conducts fabrication operations, fence post manufacturing plants, and construction-related and other product facilities that operate through a network of steel plants that bend, cut, weld, and fabricate steel; warehouses that sell or rent products for the installation of concrete; plants that produce steel fence posts; and plants that heat-treat steel. Further, it operates two rolling mills that produce reinforcing bar and merchant products; a rolling mill that produces wire rods; a specialty rod finishing mill; scrap processing facilities that support minimills; and four steel fabrication plants for reinforcing bar and mesh products.
