March 21, 2013 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 4012 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1933 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3308 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Thursday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Harvest Natural Resources Inc (NYSE:HNR), ECA MARCELLUS TRUST I (NYSE:ECT), ACADIA Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:ACAD), CONSUMERS AUTOMATIC (OTC:CUAU), MUNICIPAL MORTGAGE & EQUITY (OTC:MMAB), Anacor Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:ANAC). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  HNR $0.540 15.98% 812,556 40.61% 559,643 27.97% 252,913 4,684
  ECT $1.380 13.40% 412,471 46.03% 274,580 30.64% 137,891 999
  ACAD $1.580 23.76% 11,396,402 51.16% 10,821,182 48.57% 575,220 3,641
  CUAU $0.170 20.24% 305,747 40.69% 236,156 31.43% 69,591 4,094
  MMAB $0.120 13.64% 66,271 56.85% 40,291 34.57% 25,980 2,165
  ANAC $1.000 26.04% 493,518 51.33% 430,385 44.76% 63,133 631
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows HNR with a dollar gain Thursday of $0.54000 and a Friction Factor of 4,684 shares. That means that it only took 4,684 more shares of buying than selling to move HNR higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
