February 13, 2013 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 3926 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2845 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2433 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bearish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices dropped. Dell Inc (NASDAQ:DELL), Boston Scientific Corp (NYSE:BSX), BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION (NYSE:BAC), NVIDIA Corp (NASDAQ:NVDA), ADVANCED DEFENSE TECHNOLOGIE (OTC:ADCF), Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  DELL $-0.020 -0.15% 19,321,285 52.80% 17,202,841 47.01% 2,118,444 Abnormal
  BSX $-0.140 -1.84% 10,207,024 29.77% 8,687,117 25.34% 1,519,907 Abnormal
  BAC $-0.090 -0.78% 71,185,631 37.32% 67,902,333 35.60% 3,283,298 Abnormal
  NVDA $-0.230 -1.85% 11,041,572 54.72% 9,086,454 45.03% 1,955,118 Abnormal
  ADCF $-0.013 -31.60% 7,735,740 55.59% 6,173,972 44.36% 1,561,768 Abnormal
  ZNGA $-0.080 -2.50% 29,548,546 52.36% 26,519,202 46.99% 3,029,344 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more buying than selling on Wednesday and their stock prices dropped. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows DELL with 2,118,444 greater shares of buying than selling (NetVol) and the stock price was down $-0.02000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more buying than selling should cause prices to rise.
