November 8, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 3642 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1640 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3847 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Thursday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Wendy's Company (NASDAQ:WEN), Energy Transfer Partners LP (NYSE:ETP), Loral Space and Communications Inc (NASDAQ:LORL), Panasonic Corp (NYSE:PC), Cannabis Science Inc (OTC:CBIS), ANDINA MINERALS INC (OTC:ADMNF). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  WEN $0.130 3.03% 6,342,567 56.58% 4,865,208 43.40% 1,477,359 113,643
  ETP $0.560 1.37% 3,763,858 72.58% 655,435 12.64% 3,108,423 55,508
  LORL $4.440 5.71% 1,508,519 94.45% 88,046 5.51% 1,420,473 3,199
  PC $0.050 1.04% 1,804,057 82.02% 173,945 7.91% 1,630,112 326,022
  CBIS $0.016 28.76% 19,845,968 56.63% 15,201,542 43.37% 4,644,426 2,996,404
  ADMNF $0.375 93.75% 1,398,500 70.75% 203,541 10.30% 1,194,959 31,866
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows WEN with a Net Buy Volume of 1,477,359 shares and a Friction Factor of 113,643 shares. That means that it takes 113,643 more shares of buying than selling to move WEN higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Thursday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
