October 24, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 4115 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2246 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2797 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. The Coca-Cola Co (NYSE:KO), GILEAD SCIENCES, INC. (NASDAQ:GILD), Cemex SAB de CV (NYSE:CX), Satcon Technology Corp (NASDAQ:SATC), Regions Financial Corp (NYSE:RF), Medical Marijuana Inc (OTC:MJNA). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  KO $0.310 0.85% 4,615,706 35.95% 3,038,769 23.67% 1,576,937 50,869
  GILD $3.930 6.06% 6,854,712 56.28% 5,264,009 43.22% 1,590,703 4,048
  CX $0.160 1.77% 7,988,039 37.83% 4,648,523 22.01% 3,339,516 208,720
  SATC $0.170 68.00% 4,039,313 62.72% 2,401,321 37.28% 1,637,992 96,352
  RF $0.010 0.13% 10,613,277 35.12% 9,003,918 29.79% 1,609,359 1,609,359
  MJNA $0.010 10.36% 5,893,678 60.12% 3,909,322 39.88% 1,984,356 1,964,709
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows KO with a Net Buy Volume of 1,576,937 shares and a Friction Factor of 50,869 shares. That means that it takes 50,869 more shares of buying than selling to move KO higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
