National Bank Rolls Out the Red Carpet to Benefit Youth With "OSM Eclate"

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 3, 2012) - As a partner of the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal (OSM) and Collaborator of its 2012-2013 season, National Bank is proud to present "OSM Éclaté," an innovative concert taking place on October 5 at Maison symphonique de Montréal. The Bank will be rolling out the red carpet at this event to offer music-lovers an unforgettable experience.

Upon their arrival at the venue, concert-goers will be treated to a VIP experience as they walk the National Bank red carpet and get their photo taken. Then, Kent Nagano will direct the orchestra in a rendition of Stravinsky's masterpiece The Rite of Spring, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2013. The excitement will continue with a stunning work for orchestra and electronic backup, composed jointly by Maxime McKinley and DJ Champion and performed by the Montreal DJ for the occasion. Lastly, from 10:30 p.m. until midnight, National Bank invites you to take part in a challenging musical game. For every successful round, $10 will be donated to Les déjeuners symphoniques Banque Nationale, sponsored by the OSM and the Club des petits déjeuners du Québec. The goal is to raise $15,000 for this program which introduces elementary-school children to the world of music.

"Supporting our youth is very important to us at National Bank, and initiating young people into the incredibly rich world of music is a concrete way to channel this priority. The program Les déjeuners symphoniques Banque Nationale, which benefits children supported by the Club des petits déjeuners, provides them with an enriching cultural experience through a visit from the OSM. By attending the OSM Éclaté concert evening, music lovers will also be supporting those who work in the field of youth development," said Lise-Anne Amyot, Senior Manager - Branding and Advertising at National Bank.

Every year, through its donations and sponsorships program and the initiatives of its employees, National Bank helps support hundreds of organizations across Canada. It focuses primarily on four main areas of activity - health, education, arts and culture, and community outreach - with the goal of generating positive benefits for communities.
