CanAm Announces the Retirement of John Bergen from the Board of Directors
CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Sept. 4, 2012) - CanAm Coal Corp. (TSX VENTURE:COE)(OTCQX:COECF) ("CanAm" or the "Company") is announcing the retirement of Mr. John Bergen from its Board of Directors.
On August 30, 2012, John Bergen elected to retire from the Board of Directors of CanAm Coal Corp. John has been a member of the Board since 2005, serving as its Chair from 2005 to 2008. From 1998 to 2005, John was the Company's President and CEO. Commenting on Mr. Bergen's decision, Jon Legg noted, "John Bergen's contribution to the growth and development of CanAm Coal cannot be overstated. In many ways, he has been the face of the Company for close to 20 years. His leadership and guidance have been invaluable to all of us.
