National Bank Offers a $1,000 Prize to Mark the 10th Edition of the Open House on Quebec Farms
MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Aug. 27, 2012) - For the fourth year in a row, National Bank (TSX:NA) is participating in the Open House on Quebec Farms, organized by the Union des producteurs agricoles. To mark the 10th edition of this open house, National Bank is holding a contest, offering smartphone owners a chance to win a $1,000 guaranteed investment certificate. To enter the draw, participants just need to scan the National Bank's QR barcode hidden at each of the guest farms and at parc Jean-Drapeau and complete the online form.
"At National Bank, we feel privileged to be a partner in this 10th edition of Open House on Quebec Farms. Agribusinesses are the economic drivers of many Quebec regions: they create jobs, enrich the surrounding areas where they are located and promote Quebec products. National Bank is proud to recognize the agricultural sector's contribution to the economic development of our communities. We invite young and old to join us for this popular fall event," said Louise Simard, Vice-President - Personal and Commercial Banking for Montérégie and Central Quebec at National Bank.
In addition to the 100 participating farms across the province that will open their doors to visitors, this year's event will include a large outdoor celebration at parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal on Sunday, September 9, 2012 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Come rain or shine, the thousands of visitors expected will have a unique opportunity to meet some of Quebec's farm producers, learn about their work, check out different animals and farm machinery, and sample local products marketed by these passionate people.
Since the first open house nine years ago, the event has drawn more than 1.2 million visitors to over 1,000 farms in Quebec. Thousands of volunteers have contributed to the success of this activity over the years.
