July 20, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 3731 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1720 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3740 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Friday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION (NYSE:BAC), Old Republic International Corp (NYSE:ORI), Pitney Bowes Inc (NYSE:PBI), Kraft Foods Inc (NYSE:KFT), Hormel Foods Corp (NYSE:HRL), Great Wall Builders Ltd (OTCBB:GWBU). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  BAC $-0.180 -2.48% 48,654,561 30.77% 53,787,490 34.01% -5,132,929 -285,163
  ORI $-0.110 -1.39% 2,610,766 15.81% 11,367,767 68.85% -8,757,001 -796,091
  PBI $-0.020 -0.15% 2,385,999 19.01% 7,047,402 56.15% -4,661,403 -2,330,702
  KFT $-0.090 -0.24% 14,540,007 32.28% 30,354,029 67.39% -15,814,022 -1,757,114
  HRL $-0.340 -1.19% 1,098,518 17.13% 4,465,643 69.63% -3,367,125 -99,033
  GWBU $-0.048 -31.64% 4,300,825 28.05% 10,779,096 70.30% -6,478,271 -1,346,834
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BAC down $-0.18000 with a Friction Factor of -285,163 and a Net Volume of -5,132,929. That means that it takes 285,163 more shares of selling than buying to drop BAC by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
