Market Maker Surveillance Report. SBSA, HOV, SYMX, STRM, SYSW, ENPH, Winning Stocks With Lowest Price Friction For Wednesday,

June 6, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 3310 companies with "abnormal" market making, 4738 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1496 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Wednesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. SPANISH BROADCASTING SYS-A (NASDAQ:SBSA), HOVNANIAN ENTERPRISES-A (NYSE:HOV), Synthesis Energy Systems Inc (NASDAQ:SYMX), STREAMLINE HEALTH SOLUTIONS (NASDAQ:STRM), SYSWIN INC-SPON ADS (NYSE:SYSW), (:ENPH). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  SBSA $0.510 17.11% 154,981 50.52% 147,017 47.93% 7,964 156
  HOV $0.310 18.24% 4,688,244 35.96% 4,340,629 33.29% 347,615 11,213
  SYMX $0.220 18.80% 53,706 64.59% 29,442 35.41% 24,264 1,103
  STRM $0.450 20.00% 206,600 55.46% 165,930 44.54% 40,670 904
  SYSW $0.510 48.57% 27,014 33.72% 25,213 31.47% 1,801 35
  ENPH $1.360 25.52% 63,967 59.42% 43,288 40.21% 20,679 152
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows SBSA with a dollar gain Wednesday of $0.51000 and a Friction Factor of 156 shares. That means that it only took 156 more shares of buying than selling to move SBSA higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
