May 9, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 3802 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1891 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3898 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Sirius XM Radio Inc (NASDAQ:SIRI), BROCADE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS, INC. (NASDAQ:BRCD), HONDA MOTOR CO LTD-SPONS ADR (NYSE:HMC), Clearwire Corp (NASDAQ:CLWR), THOMPSON CREEK METALS CO INC (NYSE:TC), FANNIE MAE (OTC:FNMA). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  SIRI $0.040 1.87% 82,057,219 57.33% 61,031,546 42.64% 21,025,673 5,256,418
  BRCD $0.030 0.53% 4,483,261 63.68% 2,556,305 36.31% 1,926,956 642,319
  HMC $0.360 1.07% 1,758,804 69.19% 343,140 13.50% 1,415,664 39,324
  CLWR $0.010 0.76% 10,959,933 53.87% 9,381,341 46.11% 1,578,592 1,578,592
  TC $0.170 4.04% 3,762,038 43.93% 2,104,423 24.57% 1,657,615 97,507
  FNMA $0.038 14.29% 12,320,921 64.73% 6,515,813 34.23% 5,805,108 1,548,029
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows SIRI with a Net Buy Volume of 21,025,673 shares and a Friction Factor of 5,256,418 shares. That means that it takes 5,256,418 more shares of buying than selling to move SIRI higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
