The Solar Materials segment provides solar wafers that are used as the starting material for crystalline solar cells. The Solar Energy segment offers solar energy services that integrate the design, installation, financing, monitoring, operations, and maintenance portions of the downstream solar market. As of December 31, 2010, it interconnected approximately 393 solar power system systems representing 267 megawatt of solar energy generating capacity. In addition, the company develops and sells photovoltaic energy solutions. Its customers comprise semiconductor device manufacturers, including the memory, microprocessor, and ASIC manufacturers; and foundries, solar cell and module manufacturers, and flat panel display producers and other industries.
